He has a focus on projects within the maritime sector, addressing diverse topics including cyber security and IoT applications for ships, safety measures at sea, and mental health initiatives for cadets.

She is also an expert in organising and managing mobilities for students, teachers and learners through the Erasmus+ project. And she is responsible for the administration of IDEC Training Centre.

Together with the C4FF team, Vanessa, who is the project manager for C4FF Sweden, has contributed with research, feedback and focus groups during the course of the project and has been involved in the development of the functionality and design of the DSS system.
Prof. Dr Reza Ziarati
Energy Charger – always with a package of positive vibes
He has over 30 years of experience in consulting policymakers and companies on maritime education, research, and innovation in particular on issues relating to safety and environment. He was a UK Government Teaching Quality Assessor, BTEC/EDEXCEL/PEARSON lead assessor and an accreditor for Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Immediate Past Chair of Institution of Mechanical Engineering (Midland) and currently the Chair of Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (Midland). He has represented the several countries and organization at IMO meetings (including the UK and TR and NGOs such as IMarEST) and has helped to organize the IMO MSC meeting in Istanbul in 2008. He has published many papers including two books on toward zero ship emission and presented his findings regularly at international conferences including at IAMU and IMLA. He has written several papers on ICEs and diesel combustion. His paper on digital twin is of particular relevance here. In the recent past he submitted his latest report on GreenShip to the EU and assisted in finalizing the PROMETHEAS report at the same time. His latest paper is on clean transport which was presented at the IMechE COP26 events. He chaired the discussion panel at the COP26 event. He has written over 400 papers/reports on maritime issues helping to make the seas and ports safer, and maritime environment better protected.

She was a leader or specialist in many projects related to data analysis, AI methods, and GIS systems for a wide range of applicable solutions. In the DESSEV project, she lends a helping hand in the scary digital environment.
